3 tips for celebrating a company anniversary

3 tips for celebrating a company anniversary

Our ideas for celebrating a company anniversary

From the launch of a limited edition product to the creation of a logo incorporating the anniversary age, there is no shortage of ideas to mark the centenary of your company! A birthday is always the perfect occasion to bring together employees, partners and customers and to organise a big party.

1/ Define your event by combining creativity and professionalism

To organise your company's anniversary in complete serenity, ask yourself the objectives of this event so that it is coherent down to the smallest detail. Do you want to unite your various employees, make this event a time for sharing experiences, or reaffirm your company's values to your customers? It's up to you to tell us.
Once these objectives have been defined, you can establish a budget and then give free rein to your inventiveness by thinking about the format of your event. Evening, cocktail party, gala, the field of possibilities is infinite. What venue have you imagined? Do you have a space to receive guests or would you prefer to privatise a reception venue? This is where surrounding yourself with event experts to find relevant solutions proves to be an effective solution. Aymeric, one of the co-founders of Atawa, explains that "today, infrastructures are capable of bending over backwards to sublimate a venue".

The proof is in the fiftieth anniversary of the Fondation Paris-Dauphine, which took the opportunity to launch a historic fundraising campaign among former students in order to "Invent the future together". For this great premiere, 300 Dauphinois were gathered for a gala dinner organised in the inner courtyard of the university. A 375 m2 Cristal tent was set up within the buildings of the University of Paris-Dauphine for this occasion. Atawa took care of the Sound-Video-Lighting part with the installation of screens, microphones, the presence of a sound video light manager and also brought in a video maker for the event!

2/ Embodying and affirming your company's values through your event

Every event is an opportunity to highlight its raison d'être and to express its values. It seems essential to seize this opportunity to assert your identity and your position. Why this company? Why us? Why you? A company event is a way of taking a stand, of speaking out. There are a multitude of solutions, structures and tricks to make this intervention a memorable moment and why not opt for an event that lasts several days and not a simple evening? Inventiveness should not be a barrier to the organisation of your company's anniversary.

An example is Fred and Nico, founders of FAGUO, who in 2019 wanted to surprise their 50 employees by organising a two-day adventure in one of their forests. As an eco-responsible fashion brand, the company offsets its CO2 emissions by planting a tree for each FAGUO product purchased. As a result, more than 1.3 million trees have been planted in collaboration with the nurseryman Naudet since the creation of the brand in 2009. So what better way than to take the teams to admire the fruits of their labour?

Atawa designed an eco-responsible teepee camp in the middle of nature for the brand's founders. A very special symbolism for the teams, since it was a forest... FAGUO!

3/ Thinking of decoration as a means of communication

Buy or rent the decorative elements? How to define the spaces available? What lighting should be used for a stage or a seated dinner (lighting control)? So many questions when you start to get into the details of organising an event.
Last but not least, don't downplay the decoration. Indeed, you can have a simple decoration but do not neglect the small details that will perfect your achievements. From personalised gifts for each guest to the presence of perfumes and deodorants in the sanitary areas, it makes a difference and above all it is important to anticipate it!
Event decoration is a vector of communication and all the more so when it is an anniversary date. Having an original decoration and/or structure allows you to make an impression and is a real marketing strength. It is therefore important to take care of the scenarization of the place and the organization of the spaces with decoration elements that resemble you. The example with Firmenich - creator of fragrances for luxury perfume brands - who trusted Atawa to install an entirely wooded bridge structure during a large garden party on the terrace of its building neaŕ Paris.

Atawa did everything in its power to enhance the venue and please the guests, in particular by installing plant decorations and garlands to refine the style and the chic and cosy atmosphere of this corporate event.
